MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING ALONG THE NORMAN RIVER AT NORMANTON, FURTHER RISES POSSIBLE
Recent heavy rainfall has caused river and creek level rises across the Norman and Gilbert catchments.
Widespread heavy rainfall is forecast over the next few days. Minor flooding is expected to be occurring at Normanton, with further rises possible from forecast rainfall.
A Flood Watch is current for parts of Northwestern Queensland, extending to the North Tropical Coast.
Norman River
Minor flooding is occurring along the Norman River.
Gilbert River
River level rises are occurring across the Gilbert River catchment.
