Moderate Flood Warning for Eyre Creek

MODERATE FLOODING CONTINUES ALONG EYRE CREEK

Along Eyre Creek, a prolonged moderate flood peak is now approaching Bedourie. Downstream at Glengyle, river levels are estimated to be around the moderate flood level.

Along the Georgina River, flooding eased at Marion Downs over the weekend.

In the 24 hours to 9:00 am Wednesday, no rainfall was recorded across the catchment. Slight to high chance of showers with possible thunderstorms are forecast over the catchment for the next few days. Warnings will resume for the Georgina catchment as required.

Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs

River levels are expected to remain elevated along the Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs as floodwaters continue to move through the Georgina River.

Eyre Creek

Moderate flooding continues along Eyre Creek to Glengyle.
